potential Full Belly Farm veggie box Precita site needs more members
Here’s a message from Full Belly Farm. They are working on building up membership for a CSA/veggie box pickup on Precita near Mission. This would be a great way to even further increase our neighborhood’s access to fresh, local, organic produce.

Full Belly Farm is proposing to open a new pick up site in the Precita Park area of Bernal Heights, San Francisco. The boxes would be delivered every Wednesday and contain a selection of organic vegetables and fruits that change seasonally. In order for this program to start, a sufficient number of people need to commit to becoming members in order to satisfy a 30 box per week minimum. We would like to reach this minimum as soon as possible.
The boxes cost $18 each and payments must be made in advance for a minimum of four boxes, total $72.00. You are welcome to skip boxes due to vacations, as long as you notify us 5 days in advance.
We invite you to take advantage of this opportunity for your family to eat some of the best fruits and vegetables in the San Francisco area, to establish a special relationship with the place where your food is grown, to keep your food dollars in the local economy, to reduce your trips to the grocery store and to help protect the environment.

PVN 10/13 Meeting Summary
Alabama triangle clean-up update - Neighbors got together and did a great job removing trash, pruning and weeding. We will meet again on November 17th to do additional pruning and planting. Neighbor Bill Meyer will help coordinate the event and will assist in procuring plants. We are looking for volunteers to assist with the plating. Additional information will be provided as get closer to the event.

· Ideas for increasing attendance – several suggestions were discussed to increase participation. Following are some of the ideas that are being considered
o Flyers will be posted at least a week prior to the meeting throughout the neighborhood
o Create a standard template to use for all PVN notices that neighbors can easily identify
o Look at the possibility of sending text alerts or creating a blog to notify people about the meeting
· Children playground update:
o Cost was higher than expected and as result there were not enough funds to complete original scope. Demece is looking at different options to complete work.

The amazing upgrades to the children’s playground have been completed and the newly-renovated playground is a sight to behold. In our continued quest to beautify our neighborhood we are embarking in a new project.
